Rommel Lo is a Filipino Deaf painter, often called "Mel", his display “romArts” got its name from Rommel, being an “Artist”. He became Deaf because of his illness, German measles when he was still a child. He took up a degree of Bachelor Fine Arts major in Painting Arts at the University of San Carlos, graduated on October 16, 2004. He was a group of students for the collegiate project of painting arts held at the exhibit center art, SM mall in Cebu City. The display was entitled "Ang Unang Hapak sa Pintal", held last March 2004. His painting was entitled "Cockfighting of the Philippines". He is a member of the Dumaguete Effata Association of the Deaf, Inc. he also coordinated with the celebration of the Deaf Awareness Week 2004 and exhibit his paintings in Spanish Heritage, Dumaguete City last November 8-13,2004.
